The Oldest Original building in Old Town Spring!
Welcome to Wunsche Bros Café & Saloon! A Texas Historical Landmark that opened in 1902 in Old Town Spring. In 2015 a fire broke out but thankfully the original historic Saloon was left intact. In 2018 the Kosh family purchased the building and restored it back to its glory days.
The café is known today (and originally) for its hand formed burgers, Texas sized chicken fried steak, homemade beer bread, legendary whiskey cake, strong bourbon, ice-cold beer, and, the fact that the old saloon is haunted!
Food and music go together at Wunsche Bros. The café has been a stepping stone for such Texas talents as Clint Black and Lyle Lovett. To stay up to date with our live music events follow us on Instagram!
Treating guests like family since 1989
In 1989 the Kosh family opened a small Italian restaurant in Spring, Texas called Amerigo’s Seafood and Pasta. It quickly became successful and they opened Amerigo’s Grille in The Woodlands in 1994, which was the first upscale, fine dining restaurant in The Woodlands and continues to be today. In 2018 the family purchased the historical Wunsche Bros Café & Saloon and is enjoying restoring this wonderful local treasure for the community of Old Town Spring.
Community Involvement
The Kosh family chooses to show their appreciation for all the support they have received by supporting local charities. Many charity events are held each year at their restaurants and the family consistently gives their time and products to organizations throughout the area. The Kosh family understands the importance of giving back to the community that has helped them become successful for over 30 years.
